tenminutesSO SSS MEMBERS: this is what the SSS ended up landing on for the school festival FOR A REASON THOUGH.
Yuri wouldn't just pick an event for little to no reason, so the type of event that she would have ICly would have to be one with a goal. In this case, her reasoning is that it's possible that subconscious tendencies can show up in NPCs who used to be regular humans and their behavior has been aggressive toward the programmer. Therefore, any NPCs who show keen interest in specific members of the SSS might hold excessive interest in a dunk tank and therefore that raises the likelihood of them being The Programmer.
...Which OOCly is total bullshit but it makes sense ICly to Yuri okay?!
If you want to opt your character out OOCly it's easy to just say that Yuri made a team and your character wasn't on the "< Operation: RAGE WATER >" team. Yuri won't announce it until a meeting either the day before or morning of the event and will have mysteriously acquired a dunk tank. (She atomic restructured it with some help from the library but she'll never tell anyone that and just pretend it's a mystery.)
